For Sunday February 6th

Before pictures. You can hardly see our garage or driveway.

These are before pictures of more of our property line with Mercy.

20110204

for Saturday February 5th

Picture from February 3rd, evening. Why don't the busses pull ahead to the entrance of the hospital, instead of parking in the Fire Lane? This area is vacant in off hours. This would put the exhaust away from the residential neighborhood.
Unloading in the driveway and way past the Loading Zone.

When the tail gate is down it is in the driveway itself. Picture today.

20110203

for Thursday February 3rd

The loading area in the street is suppose to close at 6:00 pm. This picture was taken at 6:45 pm last night.
.................................

This morning a trucker playing bumper tag with the cars. He arrived shortly after 7 am. His back tail gate hitting the pavement is a "time to wake up" call.

This morning Mercy smokers on our wall.

This morning. Mercy bus parked in Fire Lane, no driver.

20110202

for Wednesday February 2nd.

Wednesday am. A normal to slow day at the truck docking area. 2 large trucks, both trucks are legally parked.
..............................
Why we care. Mercy Hospital has had a negative impact our lives. Despite all the pre-construction meetings we had no idea they would do this. Their answer to our complaints: "If it is legal we can do it." Is there another major public serving facility like a hospital that uses the public streets and sidewalks as loading facilities. Loading and docking facilities that are next to a residential property.

20110201

For Tuesday February 1st

This morning trucking as usual.

There was no room in the street for this delivery truck, so he parked in fire lane striping. Closed his truck and delivered his goods.

This is a very faded "No Parking Sign".
.......................
Why Joanie and I care. Two plus years ago our home was a relatively quiet. We had J St traffic and we had just a doctor's driveway. The EIR for the expansion made no mention or the visits from the hospital people mention any of the impact that is going on now. We get no clear answers to what it will be like when the hospital expansion will be done in two years (?).

20110130

for Monday January 30th

Mercy bus parked in the Fire Lane by our home.
....................................

City of Sacramento Fire Lane Ordnance. No Stopping, Standing, or Parking.
...............................................

This bus is driverless. Picture taken last Friday.
......................................................
Our problem: We don't mind the busses so much except for the fumes and people hang about, as we do having a bus station next to our residential property. The busses arrive and depart many times during the day. The red on the curb is really warn out with constant stooping. There is a Fire Lane sign, but it is faded.

20110127

for Friday January 28th

The load comes down with a bang, quite loud as the load hits the ground.
..........................................

The truck is about 35 ft from our master bedroom window, behind the trees.
.....
There is a safety issue as there was fog yesterday morning.
......................................

2 more trucks, one park illegally, one not. Both of these truck had their air conditioners running to keep their load cool. Both fairly noisy. Clearly louder than the traffic noise. In the afternoon a shredder truck was there to add their noise. Does any know what the EIR says of permitted noise. I went into the cafeteria for breakfast and the noise followed in there as the freight is hauled thru the whole eating area, clattering all the way.
